Thanks to its accuracy, flexibility and adaptability, BTS technology can be applied to all the fields of research in which movement has to be studied and analyzed. BTS systems can be used to build virtual three-dimensional models that reproduce precisely the analyzed subject in order to obtain all the most important data that characterize his or her movements.

Human applications:
Development of biomechanical models for studying the movement of the lower and upper limbs, rachis, head and of any part of the body

  • Articular angles
  • Linear and angular speeds and accelerations
  • Determination of the centres of gravity
  • Trajectories in space
Computerized analysis of movement can be applied to many activities. For example, in clinical research for evaluating the motor constraints due to a pathology or to test the efficiency of aids and ortheses, in the musical field or in ergonomics studies to evaluate the posture acquired by using a musical instrument or due to the work position, in aeronautics-space studies to study movement in zero gravity etc.

Veterinary applications:
Determination of all space-time parameters and of the kinematics of movement
  • Analysis of horse gait
  • Evaluation of horse lameness and of its implications
  • Study of motor complications in dogs and salamanders due to spinal chord injuries
  • Evaluation of changes in the motor pattern of rats in order to test the effect of specific drugs farmaci
Object applications:
Monitoring the movement of robots or of objects controlled by man
  • Mechanical arms
  • Work tools
  • Crash tests
