DynamoLab - Scientific Research Applied to Sport and Clinic
The Academy which seeks wellness
DynamoLab started its activities in December 2011 in the heart of Poland. Its core develops in the new and modern educational clinical centre of the Medical University of Lodz, a highly specialized centre provided with all the high-tech equipment which allows the analysis of human movement and physical performance.
The movement laboratory develops on an area of over 175sqm and hosts equipments which can work independently or combined with other units depending on the needs.
The qualified staff in the structure helps users in both test execution and evaluation with final reports.
Besides individual test analysis, DynamoLab cooperates with many sport clubs, ballet schools, departments of neurosurgery, physiology, intensive care, orthopedics, urology and others.
DynamoLab, integrated in a wider university group of labs named HumanLab, is an academic laboratory divided into three main branches: educational, research and external service.
In the educational field, thanks to university courses, the goal is to teach the benefits of movemente analysis as a tool that offers an objective evaluation of the patient, training new medical doctors both in clinical and sports field.
In research, DynamoLab collaborates with other departments which often ask for movement, electromyographic, joint torque, muscle force, respiratory and cardiopulmonary exercise analysis. The advantage of being an indipendent laboratory is that it allows researchers to not restrict the studies on a single field but to be flexible according to the requirements. Every project is different and challenging, providing motivation to improve our skills where required by the applicant.
In the external service, DynamoLab provides project-consulting assistance and in loco examinations for external customers.
Thanks to the collaboration with BTS, new evaluation protocols are created for the purpose of motion analysis in different medical fields.
Taking into account the challenges of personalized medicine, protocols for individual movement analysis in sports, orthopedics and neurology are also developed.
Until today, the collaboration with BTS proved to be solid, not only in the technical field but also in educational aspects.
