The FLENI Gait and Motion Analysis Laboratory was opened in 2002. Since then it is the only Gait Laboratory in Argentina that offers clinical gait analysis applied to the treatment and rehabilitation of children with CP and other pathologies.
More than 10 years of interdisciplinary work with a team of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Rehabilitation Medicine Specialists, Physiotherapists and Biomedical Engineers make our Lab a consultation and reference center for many professionals of our country and other countries of Latin America.

Provided services

We specialized in the treatment of gait abnormalities in children and teenagers. 80% of our patients are children with CP aged between 4 and 16. They are referred by internal or external specialists for an exhaustive clinical evaluation that includes gait analysis in our laboratory. The information collected is then analyzed by a team of specialists, who will recommend the best treatment and rehabilitation plan for each patient.

“Since our beginnings we have trusted BTS to join us in our task and we are very satisfied with the results. The equipment fulfills the requirements we need for optimal operation, reliable data collection and quick access to the information. We sincerely value the constant support provided by BTS, both in operative and technical areas such as academic activities”

Why BTS

We have developed an important academic activity in the country thanks to annual courses that allow professionals to access all the information regarding the use of Gait Laboratory, data interpretation, patient assessment, surgical treatment, and rehabilitation. In addition, our courses count with international reference guests in gait analysis, allowing an enriching exchange of experience and knowledge.
Research is also a fundamental pillar of our work. We constantly analyze our results and evaluate the different treatments so we can offer more and better options to our patients. We have also developed other work areas such as: kinetics and kinematics of the upper limbs during the reaching tasks, kinematics of wheelchair propulsion in patients with spinal cord injury, study of the behaviour of the center of mass and centre of pressure during gait in patients with Parkinson’s disease, assessment of gait progress indicators in stroke patients.
Since our beginnings we have trusted BTS to join us in our task and we are very satisfied with the results. The equipment fulfils the requirements we need for optimal operation, reliable data collection and quick access to the information. We sincerely value the constant support provided by BTS, both in operative and technical areas such as academic activities.
