The system employs infrared cameras, force plates and EMG probes to record body movement, ground reaction forces and muscles activity during walking. The collected data is analyzed by dedicated software, providing detailed information on patient gait.
BTS GAITLAB offers a precise and objective assessment of movement, useful for diagnosing orthopedic and neurological disorders, monitoring rehabilitation progress, planning corrective interventions, and optimizing sports performance.
SMART-DX EVO technology allows to carry out the kinematic analysis of any type of movement. The infrared HD digital cameras included in the laboratory capture the trajectories of the markers allowing to calculate the angular variations of each joint.
Force analysis
The P-6000 sensing floor records the 3 components of the ground reaction force, the coordinates of the Centre of Pressure (COP) and the torque. These, combined with the kinematic data, make it possible to calculate the moments and joint powers.
Electromyographic analysis
FREEEMG wireless EMG probes are lightweight, miniaturised and wireless and do not alter the patient’s natural movements. The synchronisation of the electromyographic signal with kinematics and kinetics allows to evaluate not only the activation of the muscle, but also the precise instant in which it occurs during the gait cycle.

Unveiling the complexities of human movement, BTS GAITLAB utilizes a streamlined process.
MARKER AND EMG PROBES PLACEMENT:
Reflective markers are applied to the patient to accurately track movement, and emg probes are placed on the muscles to be analyzed.
GAIT CAPTURE:
The patient walks in the lab space on the force plates while the system captures his movement.
3D MODEL GENERATION AND DATA ANALYSIS:
BTS GAITLAB software processes the data into a detailed 3D gait model, extracting valuable kinematic, kinetic and EMG data.
AUTOMATIC REPORT GENERATION:
